Mae Govannen!

This is my page dedicated the awesome RPG (Role Playing Game) I play in, Rivendell Reflections. There is some SERIOUS talent in this game as far as writers go, including many people most of you know besides myself such as Leanan2000 and Halrust.

I play Haldir, Saelbeth, Arwen, Vhaelvyrn (Haldir's made up father), Feredir (aka Craig Parker as Sarpedon but an Elf Gypsy), Orophin, Thranduil and sometimes Mandos and Elbereth.

Anyway, the story is AWESOME! See below for the short version of events!

The Story So Far

NOTE: Excuse punctuation errors, I can't get Java Script to cooperate right now!

A great Evil has swept over Imladris during the spring festival known as the Sheelala. This time of joy and celebration is interrupted when one by one, Rivendell's inhabitants are struck down, succumbing to the force of this Evil. It preys first upon Lord Elrond but quickly begins to spread to others, infecting them with tainted thoughts and twisting their personas into irrational and unnatural acts of terror. Galadriel, sensing the disturbance, keeps her thoughts to herself for the meantime, but the Evil has plans for the Lady of Lorien. . .

In the midst of Evil, new love blossoms for Arwen. Although she loves Aragorn deeply, Saelbeth, her childhood friend and advisor to her father, has also captured her heart.. . and that affection is returned greatly by the young elf. The lovely maiden is torn while Saelbeth engages in battles of his own, including one against the Evil in which he is injured while trying to rescue Lord Elrond.

The Evil is relentless, changing many lives and creating wounds of the mind that are not easily healed. Haldir takes his "revenge" upon Glorfindel with help of Evil infested Legolas. . .Celeborn is tortured by his mate Galadriel and forced to watch as she and Lord Elrond perform gratuitious sexual acts. . .

During a horrid torture session from a secret chamber that Lord Elrond has kept hidden, Legolas is gravely wounded and Haldir is forced to call upon a Higher Power to aide him in healing the Prince, for whom Haldir believes he is falling for. It is through his love that Legolas survives, and the two elves begin to defeat the Evil in their own personal ways, for it can only be destroyed by love. Arwen later embodies this point, for she is untouched by the Evil, having hidden away with Saelbeth, and it is through her love that it meets its end. The horror is vanquished. . . in one way.

The inhabitants of Imladris have fled, fearing Lord Elrond and what may happen to them if they stay, leaving only those who were possessed by Evil. Much has changed between those left. . . secrets revealed between Galadriel and Lord Elrond shock Celeborn when Lord Elrond admits that he has loved Galadriel for centuries. . .and worse, has impregnated her with his child!
Celeborn refuses to allow Elrond a hand in rearing the child (who later turns out to be TWINS!) and this causes strife between Lorien and Imladris.

After the Evil, Elrond's twin sons, Elrohir and Elladan return to Imladris and are shocked when they find out what has transpired. The whole story is not revealed to them. . .yet. . .Elladan is thought of as the warrior, while Elrohir is the gentle spirit. The two are bound to each other with a kinship deeper than even the most romantic of love!

Meanwhile, Haldir pursues his affections for Legolas while bathing in the river with the Prince. At first, his ardor is met with receptiveness, but in a moment of panic, Legolas flees after kissing Haldir, leaving him confused and quite upset. He then later catches Legolas in the arms of Elrohir and is both shocked and heartbroken. Fighting back an emotional turmoil, he runs into Glorfindel and is reminded of the horror that he inflicted upon the golden Lord. They exchange bitter words and Haldir's usually cool reserves falter and he breaks down in front of Glorfindel, who is moved by the display of emotion, for rare is the day when Haldir of Lorien shows emotions such as these! He comforts Haldir in a surprising manner. . .and the two end up spending a passion filled night in the stables, Glorfindel's 3,000 years of longing for Lord Elrond temporarily forgotten. This leads to more encounters. . .and eventually, the discovery of something more. . .
Haldir, who has not loved for centuries due to what he considers a failure in his past, falls completely in love with Glorfindel. . .and that love is reciprocated. The two are bonded through the sharing of Life Essence, for it is believed that the souls of those bound have always been as such and need only to recognize each other. . . and they have.

Meanwhile, a dark secret from Elrond's past is rising to haunt him. Through horrid torture, the foulness of orc essence has been implanted within him and only through a freakish ritual can the beast be banished. Glorfindel is torn when asked to perform this heinous ritual, but Haldir assures him that his love for the golden Lord will see him through it, and that Glorfindel need only reach out for him and he will be there. He gives Glorfindel a lock of his hair, a warrior's symbol of honor and love and Glorfindel vows to carry it with him through the acts he must perform to save his friend and Lord. However, Fate has other plans.

During the ceremony, Glorfindel is slain by the beast within Elrond, and in his fear, reaches out to Haldir with his mind, but Haldir is dealing with an issue from his past.a shocking revelation regarding the Faraphine, his only true love that had been slain in his arms. . .the killer is revealed. . .and it's someone close to him! During his shock, he closes off his mind from grief and Glorfindel dies alone. . and is swept to the Halls of Mandos as he calls out for Elrohir, whom he had once been lovers with.

Elly is able to get inside the mind of the beast despite a rather severe injury he encountered earlier and he and his twin are able to defeat the beast, killing it but sacrificing their father's life in some way. However, Elrond's mind and body are connected in a last minute effort and he is saved.

Meanwhile, Mandos and Glorfindel speak and he is sent back yet again, free from the servitude of Imladris and able to find his own path. Feeling abandoned by Haldir (who has left for Lorien out of fear and grief), Glorfindel has a brief rebound with Lord Elrond, believing that perhaps he may love him, but is still bound to Haldir. . .and must accept this through his haze of grief and betrayal. Eventually, he leaves Imladris to seek out Lord Celeborn to discuss including Lord Elrond in the rearing of the twins.

Back in Lorien, Haldir confides in Rumil about his love for Glorfindel and his younger brother convinces him to go after his love. Rumil has never felt close to Haldir, because their father abandoned them when Rumil was a baby, leaving Rumil and Orophin in Haldir's care, so this is a breakthrough for the young Galadhrim.

Haldir meets up with Glorfindel along the road and angst insues. Glorfindel rides away, yet Haldir believes that somehow, through a vision he had earlier involving Elbereth that Glorfindel will come back to him. And he is correct. . .

Meanwhile, Saelbeth and Arwen leave Imladris to make a life together, for Saelbeth has mysterious "powers" he must explore. They end up in the Taur Eglan (Forest of the Forsaken) where they discover Vhaelvyrn. . .who is actually kin to Haldir. . .and Saelbeth. . .as their FATHER!

Elladan is hurt when battling an orc and loses all feeling in his right arm, which leads to a dive in his feeling of self-worth. The mortals Eowyn and Eomer come to his aide and Elladan falls for Eowyn, who is virginal and pure, but not without passion!

His twin, Elrohir, is discovering a love for Legolas and the Prince returns this love. However, the discovery that HE was Faraphine's killer (a ploy of betrayal set up by Legolas' brother, Thraomar, to lead to Legolas' banishment) leads to a darkness rising within him that he fears. . .and perhaps even realizes a bit too closely. He fears Elly will not want him. . .but this is not to be.

Legolas and Aragorn go to Mirkwood to confront Thraomar, where Aragorn discovers that he is attracted to Thraomar instead of repulsed. The two end up in bed and become lovers. Ella, confused over his feelings for males after a drunken night with Thraomar (BIG mistake!), tries to instigate a sexual act between himself and Elly, but is unable to do the deed. While Elly tries to assure his brother that such explorations are normal, Ella has other ideas and ventures foolishly into Mirkwood's depths. Eowyn and Eomer were also in the woods at the time and battle with the foul arachnids ensues. Eomer is bitten although Elladan tries to save him. The giant spider is defeated, but not without great injury to Elladan, who has gone into a coma of sorts and has chosen death over life because he feels burdensome to his brother, Elly.

Lord Elrond has left Imladris to his sons and has taken to life in the woods as a rogue elf named Elan. He meets Rumil and romance begins to blossom. However, a jealous lover of Rumil's named Galeth is tracking the couple, although Rumil believes it to be Orophin. Issues from Orophin's past (some pretty creepy ones!) make it easy for the young Galadhrim to believe this falsehood. Chaos begins and Rumil is wrongly accused of murdering a barmaid in Bree, but is saved by an onlooker who tells the truth of the barmaid's demise. . .Galeth's hand! Rumil is injured on the way back to Imladris and is cared for by Elan, who goes into his own city to steal some things he needs. Elrond finds his son in a coma like state and Rumil figures out who Elrond really is, but loves him regardless.

Glorfindel and Haldir have made shaky amends and Glorfindel is captured by none other than Saelbeth in Taur Eglan. The two harbor INTENSE dislike for each other. . .and a fight ensues. Vhaelvyrn intercedes on his son's behalf and Glorfindel is taken back into the woods where he is berated by Saelbeth for things in the past. Haldir rescues Glorfindel, but not before catching a glimpse of his father who had been presumed dead for all of these years. He shoves it to the back of his mind and takes a VERY weak Glorfindel back to his talan to nurse him back to health. Glorfindel is slipping away and Haldir calls upon Lorien to help him. . .and She does. .. but not without consequence to another. Galadriel loses one of the twins and Celeborn finds his lady bleeding and distressed.

Orophin stumbles stupidly and drunkenly upon the orcs that Rumil is supposed to be hunting and is wounded. . .although he had been wounding HIMSELF when they came upon him. Cutting himself is the only way he can find release from the pain of the things he saw as a child. He is rescued by the Taur Eglan elves and is taken to healer named Anyriand..where strange attraction ensues.

Haldir agrees to go back to Imladris with Glorfindel, but they are intercepted by Taur Eglan elves and Haldir sees his long lost father. . .and is torn between wanting to kill him and needing answers. He eventually goes with Vhaelvyrn much to Glorfindel's utter chagrin. Meanwhile, Glorfindel encounters an alluring Gypsy elf named Feredir who has heard the tales of his Balrog slaying and greatly admires him. Feredir is taken with Glorfindel's beauty and kisses him. Haldir walks up upon the pair and instead of anger, is curiously aroused. Things heat up between the three elves. . .(hehehee)

Back in Imladris, Thraomar and Aragorn are running the city since Elly has left with Legolas to be alone in their love and Elladan still has not awoken, torn between life and death. Eowyn worries that Elladan shall never wake and questions her feelings for him.

Erestor makes an appearance and brings back the people of Imladris, including some very interesting maids and cooks! Tinuvel, a healer that had studied under Lord Elrond, returns as well to do what he can to help Elladan and the others who need him. Eomer has gotten well during this time thanks to Tinu's skilled hands and finds himself attracted to the dark healer. However, Tinu and Thraomar discover a strange attraction towards each other while in the baths with Aragorn.

Haldir and Glorfindel finally stop tip toeing around their bond and give themselves over to each other in a romantic display of passion. . .

(and that's it for now.keep reading!!!)
